Skyline Apartment REIT Acquires Additional Stratford, ON Property

On November 2, 2020, Skyline Apartment REIT announced the purchase of a new apartment property in the city of Stratford, ON.

25 Oxford Street is the fourth and final property that comprises the Oxford Haus complex. The other properties in the complex are located at 45 & 65 Oxford Street, 85 Oxford Street, and 105 Oxford Street.

The new property at 25 Oxford Street consists of one four-storey building with 59 residential suites. The total purchase price for the property was $16.5M.

The Oxford Haus complex is located in downtown Stratford and is comprised of condo-style one and two-bedroom suites. It is located close to all amenities including grocery, pharmacy, shopping, parks, schools, and transit, and it features an on-site amenity building with a social room and fitness centre.

The complex is managed by Skyline Living.

“We saw a real need for additional rental housing options in the city of Stratford, and we answered the call with the purchase of the newly-developed Oxford Haus complex,” said Matthew Organ, President, Skyline Apartment REIT.

“With the fourth and final Oxford Haus property now under Skyline Apartment REIT’s ownership, Oxford Haus now totals 236 residential suites. Additionally, with our two additional buildings in the city, we’re now providing a total of 367 suites to residents of Stratford.”

Post-acquisition, Skyline Apartment REIT now comprises 218 properties in 59 communities in eight provinces across Canada, with a total of 19,299 suites.
