Skyline Apartment REIT Acquires Additional Brantford, Ontario Property

On Friday, June 3rd, 2016, Skyline Apartment REIT acquired a newly-developed, accessible luxury apartment complex at 555 Park Road North, Brantford, Ontario. The 153-unit building was purchased for $29.9M, and is the Apartment REIT’s fifth purchase in the city of Brantford. It is located next to another Skyline-owned apartment property at 575 Park Road North, with multiple parks, golf courses, schools and shopping nearby.
The newly-developed complex at 555 Park Road North (called “Harris Place” after a founding member of Canada’s renowned Group of Seven artists) is Brantford’s first 100% smoke-free luxury apartment building, filling unserved needs in the Brantford housing market. Additionally, in May 2016, Skyline Living’s marketing team proudly received a prestigious Webcon Rental Marketing Award for its marketing campaign promoting suite rentals at Harris Place.
The Skyline Apartment REIT currently comprises 172 properties in 47 communities across 6 provinces, with over 15,300 residential units.
